Letters To Lennon

brand innovation, entertainment, technology, experiential

Mail a letter with the John Lennon Forever stamp at special mailboxes placed all over the city and you’re in for a surprise—the stamp will be recognized and the mailbox will play iconic songs from John’s life, along with audio stories recorded by people who knew and worked with John including his son, Sean Lennon, Ronnie Spector, and Donovan.

Using first-of-its-kind, state-of-the-art technology, developed in-house by USPS, the boxes are a portal into John Lennon’s life in New York City, proving that sending a physical letter can be as exciting as receiving one. There will be nine boxes in total, in locations relevant to him. With a brand new design by Peter Blake, the iconic designer of the Sgt. Pepper’s cover. Altogether, the boxes will create a walking tour of the city John loved.

I concepted and was copywriter on the project, edited interviews, worked with digital partners to design the experience.
